Deny the Merger between Sun Trust and BB&T

Dear Chairwoman McWilliams:

A recent article by Michael Kanell of the Atlanta Journal Constitution came to my attention in which it was explained that there is pending a proposed merger, between Sun Trust and BB&T, which is still subject to the approval of the board of governors of the Federal Reserve, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

This is an extremely poor idea. There is far more info on this than can be incorporated into this letter but I have set down my dealings with Sun Trust at: https://williamrogersceo.blogspot.com/

Summary: Sun Trust will 'open' your account at the local branch, then the next day some faceless and never named person 'closes' the account without providing any explination. It took over a month and the intercession of my local Congressman, Mr. Barry Loudermilk, to get my opening deposit of $6,665.44 returned.

My recent very unfavorable experience with Sun Trust showed me just how bad a bank Sun Trust is and for them to now pollute another bank with their bizarre mentality is totally unacceptable.

Please DO NOT allow any merger between these 2 banks.

Sincerely yours,
