Money NOT returned!

Today (3/28/19) I spent 15 minutes on their 800 number, spoke to 2 people, one a 'supervisor', the funds are still 'under review' and there is no time set for their return. So as of Tues 3/27/19 Sun Trust has not returned my $6,665.44. Sun Trust is a bunch of bottom feeding scumbags!

A lot of you won't bother to go take a look, so here is the Reader's Digest Summary FYI -

I opened a checking account with your Canton (Ga) branch 3/4/19, the funds from Wells Fargo got to SunTrust the same day and the following day (see below), with no notice to me, your 'Fraud Dept' decided to put a hold on the account.

I was informed today by mail that the reason was "We have confidential information that indicates the check may not be paid."

Although the letter was undated the franking was from 3/6/19, or 2 days AFTER you got the funds from my Wells Fargo checking account.

I am also informed that the $6,665.44 would be available after 9 a.m. 3/12/19.

A dozen internet consumer sites* now have this information and more will have it shortly, as will a selection of bank officers from BB&T and many news outlets.

From my research on SunTrust I have found other similar complaints of potential customers leaving your banks thinking that they have new accounts only to find out, as I did, that some pin head from your 'Fraud Dept' decided to close the account. Your bank is unfriendly to the elderly and handicapped (I am both) and I am going to make sure that your outrageous behavior is well known in the community.

I will be establishing many more blog sites so that anytime a consumer 'googles' SunTrust/Sun Trust, they will find at least one link leading to my experience with your bank.

So What Is This Blog Site About?

Note: This is a work in progress so it is a bit disjointed, when time allows I will add/subtract info and probably move stuff around. Right now I am busy with other things but shortly this blog should be finished.

It is about a bottom feeding bank whose HQ is in Atlanta and this site deals with my opening a checking account at their Sun Trust Canton, Ga. branch on 3/4/19.

The deposit check was from my Wells Fargo account in the amount of$6,665.44. I was closing it due to poor service, little did I know that the service at Sun Trust was going to be worse.

The Wells Fargo check was cleared the same day it was presented. The 2 documents below show that.

When I got an incoming letter from Sun Trust about 'holds' I emailed the branch to get details as I had not been told anything about holds. The holds were suppose to come off in 3 tiers with the final amount being cleared on 3/12/19.

I also phoned their 800 number and eventually got a semi-explanation from a supervisor that their 'Fraud Department' had decided to close the account and that I would 'get a letter'. No info as to why the account was being closed, just that it was and the funds would be available to me 3/12/19.

My further inquiries to the Canton Branch have not resulted in any reply.
